I agree; I smell a lawsuit(s) coming! The word is out in the community that the mystery cop was actually a state policeman. If this is true, we can't even trust the state police to conduct a proper search.

I hate to hear that happened to you. I would have a hard time forgiving my wife but we all have moments where we have weakness and make mistakes and you either love someone with their mistakes and misdeeds or you don't. You can forgive but to forget is the hard part. I hope you and your wife are fine now.

Regardless of rank, every public official has an obligation to uphold integrity within a department. There’s no doubt that GPS will save time, money, keep track of valuable assets, find corruption, and take control of your organization.
Brad Borst, a former police officer and President of Rocky Mountain Tracking said, “it’s a difficult decision to let an officer go after he or she has dedicated their whole life to law enforcement. Many times an officer makes heroic efforts throughout their career, but one bad choice can end it all. This is just another example that we are all human and make mistakes, but if implemented soon enough, GPS tracking can provides the necessary checks and balances to prevent this from happening,†he said.

What if your car spit out a report to the police department every time you hit 81 miles an hour?
To the chagrin of its police officers, the city of Fort Lauderdale is using satellite car-locaters in patrol cars to watch for speeding. Any officer driving faster than 80 — whether on duty or off — is busted.
Since the monitoring began a year ago, 29 officers have been written up or disciplined for speeding, according to city records. Some officers were caught driving faster than 90 mph, even while off duty, and one was nailed for speeding 30 times.
Law enforcement agencies across South Florida and the country use vehicle-locaters in police cars to help dispatchers find the closest officer to send to calls, or to find officers who might be in danger if they can't be reached on radio. But Fort Lauderdale may be unique in using it to monitor speed.
Internal affairs workers sift through the reports to determine who had a legitimate emergency and who was just too heavy on the accelerator. Punishment starts with a counseling slip and escalates.
"Very good," said Fort Lauderdale resident Todd Green.
Green regularly sees officers and deputies speeding on the interstate, he said, or flicking on lights to run through intersections. He said monitoring should be stricter: 80 mph is quite a cushion if you're in a speed zone of 35 mph, he noted.
"If you're going to give people tickets, don't use that car to get away with things," he said.
Spokesmen at some other police agencies, including Sunrise and Coral Springs, said they use satellite technology for locating police cars but not to catch uniformed speeders. Others, including West Palm Beach police and the Broward Sheriff's Office, said they don't have the equipment; they address officer speeding on a complaint basis. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is deploying laptops with positioning equipment but has no plans to use it to catch deputies speeding.
Chuck Canterbury, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police union, said he was familiar with Fort Lauderdale's speed-watching.
"It's showing bad faith in their officers," said Canterbury, based in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Like local police representatives, Canterbury said the public is often wrong when they think an officer has no legitimate reason to speed.
"There are many times a law enforcement officer exceeds the speed limit without blue lights and sirens," Canterbury said, citing burglar alarms or prowler calls as examples. "The public doesn't always understand that it's not the police officer running to get something to eat."
An officer turning on lights and sirens to get through an intersection, like Green mentioned, might have been dispatched to an emergency that was called off soon after, said Fort Lauderdale police spokesman, Sgt. Frank Sousa.
And an officer speeding on the interstate without lights and sirens might be using the subtle enforcement method of catching up to a speeder so the driver will see the marked car and slow down, said Fort Lauderdale police Sgt. Jack Lokeinsky, the local union president.
"It's an absurd waste of resources to once again try to justify their paranoia," Lokeinsky said of city administrators, who he said think the police department is "corrupt." The policy came about under former Chief Bruce Roberts, but City Manager George Gretsas has authority over the police department. The officers and Gretsas have been at odds.
City spokesman Ted Lawson defended the oversight, saying the devices further the police mission to "one, enforce the laws, and two, protect the public."
Lauderhill police Capt. Rick Rocco said most officers share the public's disdain for officers who speed with no good reason. His agency is buying the devices but hasn't created a policy on how to use them.
"What makes you so special, because you're driving a marked police car?" Rocco said. "I think the majority of officers feel that way, that they want to maintain a professional image. Just because you have a badge and the authority doesn't give you a right to violate the law."
Fort Lauderdale used to limit its speeding oversight to random checks, Lawson said.
Then in June 2006, Officer Alexander Griss, 23, hit Althea McKay, 39, a pedestrian on Federal Highway. Her body flew 102 feet. She died.
The global positioning system, manufactured by Trimble and called "The Placer," reported that Griss reached 91 mph where the limit was 40. He was not on his way to a call.
Griss was fired a year ago and charged with vehicular homicide. And the new enforcement began.
Griss' attorney, Mike Dutko, said he'll challenge the reliability of the technology when the case goes to trial in October. His experts said Griss was traveling between 60 mph and the low 70s.
Lokeinsky also questions The Placer's speed accuracy and said the city refuses to test it. He said the city has better things to spend time and money on than double-checking driving speeds.
"It's such a silly thing in the grand scheme of what we do for a living," he said.
Trimble executive Bob Skinner in Chantilly, Va., said the units are highly accurate speed detectors, if used on the right settings. But he said he's never heard of a police department using it like Fort Lauderdale does.

We have received information that the policeman who was with Totten was in fact a state policeman. He is being investigated at a state level.
Will he be suspended pending the investigation into the charges?
Sheriff Jonese seems to be in a quadray because the incident involved one of his own policeman and a state police man. This is the first big test of Jonese's sincerity.

Who is going to cook me that crow? I was promised a meal and if things keep on the right path I will gladly eat me some crow. You do know that in Tenn. People eat crow over Turkey? They say it is best tasting bird out there. I ate some and it was good but I need to know my chef doesn't poison me. That said I may fix my own crow rather than let some figgit fix it. This incident was videotaped! So there is proof of what happened!

And David J. was very forthcoming. I am convinced that he will get to the bottom of this matter.
The State Police in Charleston are conducting an internal review of the matter. David has interviewed at least six persons in the matter. No lie detector tests have been given yet.
There is video tape but the tape has a strange analomy to it. It seems that when Lester approached the cruiser and the other vehicle that he (Lester) pulled a little to the left. Totten then proceeded to move the cruiser to the front of the Good car. But he did so at an "angle" which placed the actual pat down of the woman off camera. This is strange protocol but I believe Dave when he says this is what happened. The consequence of this strange and bizarre stop by Totten was the there is little or no video evidence of how Darla was frisked which lies at the basis of the groping charge.
There was another car there but apparently the sheriff has been unable to ascertain who was in that car. The claim that there were girls involved is currently in dispute.
In fact, another car came along shortly thereafter but turned around as soon as they saw the police activity.
The mystery cop was Trooper Agee. He would have been the one in the camoflage outfit. There was no explanation as to why he failed to id himself to Lester and Darla. There is no explanation as to why the name of the trooper has not previously been made public.
Dave has promised to keep us updated as to the continuing investigation.
We were relieved that the sheriff has pulled Totten off of night duty!! This should bring some satisfaction to the scared girls and their parents in our community.
We will make inquiry as to the outcome of the Internal Affairs Division of the WV State Police.
We did present or complaint that we feel that the local state police detachment is lacking in supervision. Perhaps things will shape up in the future.
All in all, we retain our confidence in David Jonese that he will get to the bottom of this.
We hope that any efforts to establish an "auxilliary force" will be put on hold until the outcome of this investigation.

The die-hards want a reliable source (unrelated) to view the video tape to observe the measures taken by Sgt. Totten in defeating the purpose of the cruiser camera.

They make a lens that points straight up in the air and films in a 360 degree view. With there being so many things that are going on A camera inside the vehicle and the 360 view for outside the auto. We need to treat them like children that you can't trust because they can not be trusted at all anymore.

I'm sorry, but this has been going on for years! Brad Totten isn't the only dirty cop. People can complain all they want but if they don't take action to stop it, then it may never end. I'm currently majoring in Criminal Justice and I am hoping that once I graduate I can help recruit honest, hard working cops to Pocahontas County and help in getting rid of the a$$holes who run the county. I would not be surprised if the dirty cops confiscate drugs for their own personal use.
The evidence room
Strangely that subject came up today. There are a whole set of stories about the evidence room. They generally center around the tales of the evidence room being used as a sort of supply warehouse for local drugs. The stories tell of drugs being "dispense" for the use of narcing and forth the purchase of sexual favors.
I, myself, am pretty naive and some of this was news to me. Has anybody else heard these stories?

I heard a story of a women who was not fully searched and when deputies still did the trainsport. The deputy pulled into secluded spot and the woman had cigarettes , a lighter, and a bottle of pills stashed in her Vagina. When the deputy pulled her underies off the stuff fell out on the seat and he laughed and still had sex with her. He had drugs for her when in fact she had stashed her own she had gotten by sexual favors. The poor person who told me this tale is gone now or she would gladly tell this tale of her friend.
I bet several people have heard this tale.
This sinning is not just hurting the community as a whole it goes to very rotting heart of our county. This behavior has to been shown and known by the people that supervised the said deputies

If you want the womans name I will give it to one of your Moderators. I am sure the woman would talk being she was in jail the last time I heard of her. I bet she could tell the new sheriff an entire novel worth of stuff done by the guys in mention. I am glad the new sheriff only took a few weeks to take Darlas' complaint as being serious. I understand that he thought she wanted money and now that he sees there is a pattern with this guy he takes her as just a person assaulted.

Well, if the circumstances told to Preacher are true and this happened to a woman during transport, then that would mean that another person would have had to have been along during transport. I'm not saying that it isn't true, but correct me if I'm wrong, if it is a female then there has to be another female present during transport.

Absolutely!! As a part of his plea bargain, he cannot carry a gun in Pocahontas County. That is why he went to Greenbrier instead of Marlinton.

I have also been deleting other peoples posts trying to use this thread as an opportunity to bash other officers and officials that have nothing to do with this thread.

I have been following this story with a very big interest in it. First of all I happen to know each of the individuals that are involved and I know them all well.
Weasel and Leslie have been having problems and it is destroying their relationship. She has been running around on Weasel for a long time. They both need to seek some kind of help with their drug problems and either spilt up or get serious counceling to be able to stay together. Weasel is not innocent on running around behind hher back with other girls too. I really care about them and hope that things will work out in the end. They just need to be honest.
As for Jackie and Crystal well lets just say that they also have the same problems. They both need to grow up so that their child is not watching this behavior as she grows up. Children do kbow when things aren't ok and tend to follow in the footsteps of their parents.
So for everyone's safety and for their concious to be cleared why not just face the problems head on, and tell the truth. Then maybe this whole mess will work out on its own.
Brad and Agee should also tell the truth. I happen to know everything about what happened with A.M and H.S. These girls had a very hard life growing up and instead of our county law enforcement trying to help these girls they turned them into their personal sex slaves and yes they were getting drugs out of the evidence room way back then. Now they both have sever drug problems and they are not happy nor do they have the confidence that girls that beautiful should have.
Just tell the truth and if there is anyone else that has ever been done like this, then step forward. There is always going to be a young easily influenced girl to be sexually assulted and if these officers aren't stopped now they are going to continue ruining young women's lives. If everyone stands together then maybe something will get done to protect our children of this county.
Norman you are the voice of our community and I want to thank you for trying to let everyone know what is happening. Before you started the E-tater most of us was in the dark of what was going on. The Pocahontas Times never wants to report anything that the officials in this county are doing wrong. If you are an average citizen and get caught however your name will certainly be in the paper. I am all for printing the good in this county but we also need to know the bad so that we can protect our kids and friends.
Please everyone just stand together with Darla and maybe something will be done.
Also why is it so important to keep saying things about Lester being a felon. Even though he did something wrong in the past doesn't mean that he hasn't changed. I don't think that his past had anything to do with what happened that night. He paid his debt to society and he deserves the same respect as anyone else.

Whether Lester is a felon or not has absolutely no bearing on the fact that his girlfriend should not have been groped! So because someone is labeled as a "felon" for the rest of their lives does that mean someone has the right to feel up their girlfriend or wife? Oh maybe you would even include that because they are a felon that the cops or anyone else should be able to MOLEST their daughters too. Ignorance is no excuse of the law is what a cop will tell you. So shouldn't it apply to the cops as well?

I got to to say to earlier statement.
The fact about the misuse of law enforcement ceased evidence is a fact. As for labelling all the other depuites as bad well it is like this; How in gods name did they not know what the other officers were doing? I know they think it is a big deal to honor your fellow officer and I admire that but that is no EXCUSE for what has been done!
As a citizen, deputy, person, and human being how would the others keep silent with all the things thay have done. I know it is hard to do the right thing when doing the right thing puts you and your family in danger but as I see it the time for telling the truth comes to the doorsteps of officers who know and kept quiet to speak up. I think that Donna should offer immunity to some of the deputies and ask them without consequences to tell all. Where are the good men now? I can say that coming clean is good thing but once a policeman does come forward he will be labeled as a Rat like a crimal would also be labeled.... isn't that ironic?
I guess it is a matter they will face in the afterlife. I doubt anyone has the backbone to come forward and say the right thing. As one deputy has said, "We take care of our own." And they do!!! When Robbie Jr got smashed and was shooting at his girl friend's apartment, we had two chief deputies there and neither of them had the guts to arrest the sheriff's son!
These deputies know what is going on. Getting a new sheriff was a wonderful thing but in reality they all have to band together to hide the truth from David J. I am convinced that he will clean house as soon as he finds out the truth.

Does anyone remember what Jack Biggs did to simmons when Simmons was PA and Mr. S caused Jack to shoot him off his tractor? The law was not helping Jack. I don't agree shooting someone is needed but if the justice system fails you like the system has Lester in the past would you trust any lawman?
The fact is Lester was lailed for conspiracy when didn't have a co-defendant and the lawyer let a state policeman threaten to take his family to jail and the lawyer let it happen. It was a set up deal and he lost ten years of his life for that.
So keep saying what you may but Mr. Good has paid his Dues!

You have got to know that the new Sheriff has had no other qualifed applicants to help him.
He has to work with what he has until the county and or state have enough reason to get rid of them. Your union thing working. If the County had and could pay more than a minscule amount of money for a Deputy to live on it would help. Check out and see what a Deputy in your county makes. (17,000)? If you can find a home grown boy or girl you trust that can live on that and pass the tests, you better get at it. Otherwise the Sheriff is pretty much stuck until he can rid the losers we see that have been doing this terrible behaviour. Don't shoot the man trying to help his county, help him anyway you can. And the prosecutor has my good vote, get caught get in front of her and finally some justice will be done.

I have been reading everything posted on here and I'm not trying to take sides. But when I needed a cop Totten and Alkire (Robbie) were at my house in 2 mins. flat. When I had more questions to ask and have some concerns smoothed over Totten was the one to answer my questions at my house for an hour, yes he was by himself and conducted himself in a very professional manner. No one knows what was going on that night, people like to make conclusions on their own. Assumption is the mother of all **** ups!!! I hope this gets resolved and I will always be thankful for Totten and Alkire getting to my house that quick!!!

Not Hardly. There men aren't home any length of time because they are out stealing car part's and tool's.
