  2. Your a moron. It's perfectly legal to videotape people in a public area.
You should go see a psychiatrist and if your lawyer is who I think it is he should go along with you and attend a few AAA meetings and Narcotics Anonymous.

    1. Actually they are right. You see Norman was inside the law until he posted the video for sale. The video is now considered for commercial purposes. Now if Norman got a video release form signed by identifiable participants in his video. He is safe from any lawsuit but if not it could land him in legal hot water. A Release Form notifies the persons in the video that it may be sold with their image and that it could be sold to 3rd parties. Also a signed and dated form by the individual releasing his/her images. If the subject is a minor (under 18 years old), the release should be signed by a parent or legal guardian. If any of these have not been done before the sale listing he could be sued.

    1. I confess that it is hard to argue with a smart person; but arguing with a stupid person is downright frustrating.

  5. Norman you are correct the schools do sell yearbooks but at the beginning of each school year parents must sign a release form, so the school can use the child's image. Parents must also sign a relase form for their child's image can be placed in the paper and online by the school. If you think this is false then by all means please contact the Board of ED. I'm not trying to be rude. Just trying to let you know what the law is. I would hate to see you get in to hot water over such a matter.

    1. it's also illegal to post yearbook pictures, the companies that publish them have lawyers and do go after people.

  6. Norman you can contact the State Board of ED. They will give you the same infomation that the local school board will.Yes, you can take pictures of children without their parents' permission, but as long as you are not invading the child’s privacy. And as long as your photos are for private use only!!!
You cannot give children’s photographs any commercial use unless you have a model release signed by the minor's parents or legal guardians. This includes family snapshots and other portraits of the sort where the children figure is an important and recognizable subject in the picture.
