The "result" of the oral argument on October 6, 2015 is that there is NO result until the Court files a written opinion, which usually occurs within 30-60 days after the oral argument (i.e., no decision is made at the oral argument; the court merely hears the arguments and decides later). This is the word in the Court hallways: the three old men of the bench will probably go with the recommended two year suspension; Chief Justice Margaret Workman wants more than two years and Justice Davis (the second female) didn't tip her hand during the arguments. Clifton's lawyer played the "blame the victims" game, calling the lead female victim a liar, despite the audio recording from another victim which revealed that Clifton was guilty as Hell of all of the allegations. Sadly, the State Bar's lawyer was too nervous to effectively argue for more than the two years recommended by the hearing committee. Best bet for a result: 2 year suspension, maybe, but not likely, more, but at least 2 years. Bye bye Clifton.
That a lawyer will blame the victim to get the perpetrator off is nothing new. All if sir rottens buddies did that with him. The fact that there are adults that think a two year suspension of a licence to cheat steal and be a swindler and pervert is punishment is lunacy. They are just now comming out of thier hate and booze induced comas to be able to say he was guilty of one charge much less the dozens he was charged with. I'm suprized they are not standing in front of stores with buckets looking for donations for rotten and cocky. If certain former badge bunnys were still in the court system I would expect a certain amount of court cost and fines to end up in donation buckets. Why they hate the state police and fbi for comming into pokey land and stopping the sex abuse of teens and adult women by the powers that be. Along with so many other crimes and abuse Aginst the people. Yes it's been stopped for now but the abuse of our rights and children will raise its ugly head again if people are not vigilant.They are still out there but laying low so they can stay out of the big house and not become a play thing and sparing partner for the boys behind bars. The Road Runner is pissed after he saw the simple minded supporter of the abuse of our children and how his heart was bleeding because there is no more special treatment and sir rotten may have to serve his entire term. And that he wants to blame others for speaking out when They have no clue what they are talking about and the lies they spew towards others. Small minded at best and fearfull cowards with 100 dollar mouths and .50 cent ass to back it up.
