  1. notice all the missing bricks in the top of the building in the first picture ......if not repaired and repointed this portion of the building will collapse do to freezing and thawing of water .....really half of what is left standing in marlinton is substandard .....you almost have to ask yourself what town ......

  2. I have always considered Marlinton more of a village than a town myself.

    1. Speaking of big ones I was visiting the other day and my better half pointed out the the sheriff has a big old solar powered gate to his home yet there is no fence. You can drive around it .
I am curious about this. Perhaps this type of thinking explains why the SO has had so many half baked plans fail.
But I could be wrong it could be some type of strategic planning learned at the Pentagon that simple laymen such as myself are unable to fathom.
Something designed to deal with the biker gangs and south American drug gangs we have been warned about that were about to invade pokey land while sir rotten and sir cocky used the invasion as a diversion for thier well laid plans.
Perhaps it was inspired by our presidents building a 47.000,000.00 gas station in a nation with almost no cars.think it was a two pumper at that.
Again I am but a simple minded layman but every gate I have seen has a fence or wall to go with it.

Doc Smith has returned on a limited basis for your pleasure or aggravation.
And I really do not care which.
