Norman, I usually like most everything you write about, but you are waaaayyy off on this one! Suboxin is a very powerful withdrawal drug used to help addicts wean off of oxycontin. It is administered only by doctors, and you remain under a doctors care the entire time you are taking Suboxin. You have weekly doctor appointments, urine tests, etc., and the doctor monitors the exact dosage of the drug until you are completely weaned. Suboxin is every bit as addictive and dangerous as oxycontin!!! This woman admits to using suboxin while she was pregnant, and worse yet, she admits to NOT being under a doctor's care! Which means, she is buying the drug illegally.....off the street....and she is addicted. CPS had every right to take this baby after the mother tested positive to suboxin. This poor, innocent baby is now addicted and will have to go thru the painful, yes, PAINFUL, withdrawal. Norman, I know you have a beef with CPS, but please do your homework on drug addicted mothers and how it affects unborn babies, and please, use your blog to help those innocent babies instead of promoting public hatred towards government agencies.
10-4 i agree totally this woman is very convincing but she has and has always had very deep issues including drug addiction .........we should pray for her.........she just does not have it in her to ever be a good mother ......... it is not her fault,but none the less those kids should not suffer .......... people who know the situation are relieved that those kids are in foster care ........also feel sorry for the kids grandmother ...........none of this speaks well for the suboxin program here in the county ........suboxin is sold between addicts......it is kind of like ,""here take these pills and go home and detox yourself "" ........ i bet these addicts are not successful in staying sober for very long .........
Wow Norman, this is a new low even for you!! You should stop trying to have a pity party for drug addicts who don't take care of their children. Why don't you get some interviews from some of these abused children. Or how about you get some video of a drug addicted baby in withdrawal. For being a smart man you sure are ignorant on this subject. Do some research, get some first hand experience with the TRUE victims (that would be the children that are neglected and abused). After you do that take another look at these so called Parents that don't think they did anything all that bad. And don't worry I'm sure our tax dollars will pay for this addicts hospital stay.

I am not a supporter of CPS tactics but in this case I feel it was proper.

OH Mr. Alderman you really don't do your homework do you? Jackie fails to mention to you that she never even saw an obgyn or any OTHER Dr. for that matter for the entire 9 months she was pregnant! The girl is dense but I'll assume you know that after talking to her as much as you have. She thought she could hide her pregnancy and then hide the baby from the world. She even asked one of her druggie friends from up that way to deliver her baby for her. She was trying to have a home birth when she was rushed to the hospital THAT is why she had to have a c section! b/c she was sitting in that trailer trying to push that baby out! And Jackie never had a prescription for suboxen! Her husband had the prescription but his Dr switched him from the pills to the strips after him and his wife got caught smoking crack outside of the clinic. Then they got caught shooting up in a parking lot up there in Pennsylvania. Yeah she fails to mention all of these facts. And her husband quit going to the Dr because he didn't want the strips which means he never wanted help anyways because if you really want help then you could care less if you get the pills or the strips. One things for sure you can't snort or shoot up the strips. Jackie could have gotten health care through the state of West Virginia and they would have paid for her to be on subutex. Subutex is in pill form and cheaper but it is what they give to PREGNANT WOMEN and they wean them down so that both mother and baby do not experience withdrawal. It is people like Marcel and Jackie that gives suboxen a bad name because it really does work and help people and yes it is expensive but Jackie was pregnant the state would have paid for it she was just scared of cps finding out she was with child! The nurses called cps THAT is why they came and took her baby Mr. Alderman. You have really sunk to a new low and if you really think people are going to feel sorry for Jackie you are crazy. That baby is better off that is for sure! There are many other facts that you do not know but I do not have time to sit and type them all. Just know you are in the wrong here. cps has every right to keep that baby. Jackie AND Marcel were offered help the last time they went through this when their other 3 kids were taken and they would not accept the help. Jackie says they didn't help her well when you say NO to help and NO to going to rehab that means you do not want the help! Did she mention to you that she also has two other kids she pays child support on? The woman has 6 kids total! OH no she failed to mention the older 2 kids didn't she?
I will say this I know Marcel and Jackie both yes they might have made mistakes EVERYBODY has in there life and there s not a dam person commenting on any of this that can't say they haven't she was scared and made a mistake yes I know a big one but she is human and as far as all of you running you mouth about suboxone you clearly don't have a clue again you are all going on what other gossiping bored ass people around you have told you if your not on the program then you have know idea if you have never been addicted once again you have no idea I know that some people abuse things but did you all ever think that she was really just scared people would do anything for there child expecially when there going to be taken away.. I am not by far condoning what she done there are other ways it could have been handled but all of you that are running that gap under your nose need to take a step back and realize you a by far perfect....

Jackie called at least 5 people the day they got caught up there smoking crack to come and pick them up because the police made them get a ride since neither was legal to drive their vehicle home. Most of the people she called are people she had asked to deliver her baby. It IS fact because not only did people she called tell me about it but hell Marcel and Jackie will sit down at the store in Cass and blab all of their own drama to anyone who will listen. They want to be perceived as the victims in all of this. The system is "screwing with them" but no! I do not lack compassion but as long as they blame everyone else and do not take responsibility for their own actions then I have no respect for them. It has been said time and time again that these two were offered rehab and they refused. Well it's true. They didn't want the help from CPS because they didn't want to have to get off of drugs and Marcel even lied about being on that subutek thinking they would never find out. There is a lot to this story and Jackie well she is just a basket case. A person that needs some real and true help. She needs intense therapy. It's not b/c she is upset about not having her kids its because she is plum out there. I do not feel sorry for them. Who shoots up in the parking lot of a pharmacy in the middle of a city? (different incident) I DO have compassion for drug addicts/alcoholics because I have family with problems and friends too. But these two have had chance after chance and when someone says 'I can't go down there because I don't want them to know I don't have my whole prescription' (for those who don't know that means he doesn't want cps to count his pills). They have CLEARLY chosen the life of crime and addiction over their children and then they actually wonder why they do not have their children. And Jackie DOES have other kids from a previous relationship that she never EVER sees. This is a small town. No they did not call me specifically for a ride from Pittsburgh that day but I was with someone they did call. They eventually got a ride home and acted like it was no big deal. Nothing happened they were the victims and the cops were messing with them for no good reason.
