Getting Rid of a Bad Prosecutor

Prosecutors are lawyers; lawyers are bound by a stated, published set of ethics.  They must have a law license to be a prosecutor.  If they are suspended, they are removed from office.  The WV State Bar has an investigating council who receives complaints and then recommends discipline as indicated to the WV Supreme Court.  They, in turn, administer the proper disciple.

To get rid of a bad prosecutor one needs to have a "cause of action" against the prosecutor.  He must have done some bad or illegal.  You can file a complaint with the state bar and they will investigate the complaint.  If they conclude that there is reason to believe that the lawyer has violated the code of conduct they can recommend that he be suspended or have his license annulled.  This has occurred on occasion in our county.  Anthony Tatano comes to mind.

  1. I have been reading some interesting things a guy named Jim has to say about a man involved in the WV legal system, very interesting.
Too bad more people didn't do their home work before voting.
If they did I think a lot of state and local and federal elections would go another way if only people would look at who they were casting their vote for and the people they hang out with.

  6. even though the latest badge bunny, namely commissioner fleming went down in a blaze of glory on primary election day, there is something that still does not compute .........he files to put his name on the ballot ,with an address that reflects that he lives in greenbank ......this address is in the district that he represents on the commission ........yet this house is empty and devoid of furniture, and no one ever sees him at this house... ....... he then puts out campaign propaganda stressing his ideal and happy home life ,replete with chicken ........although the alpine setting portrayed does not jive with the greenbank address .......people have also noticed that his truck is always parked at the slatyfork home of the chairman of the p.s.c.( as a side note; this is the same guy who fleming voted for that p.s.c. seat ) leading people to wonder if this is his real address (that vote was a conflict of interest if he is bunking at slatyfork) ........so did he in fact lie about his true residence ,on the ballot ........if he did lie, well that is against state law,and an ethics violations to boot .......so why not turn him in , see if we kick him now that he is down .........just like he did to norman alderman six years ago when alderman asked where fleming was living after fleming `s divorce .......so lets take him to the ethics commission, and let them answer the riddle of where county commissioner fleming lives .........bet it ain`t in greenbank .......now i would not call this a grudge issue ,but rather a matter of good citizenship of concerned voters .......
