Editor's Note: When Donna Price-Meadows Took office, the office was pretty much a shambles. The Former Prosecutor, Weiford had stripped the county's computers even to the point of "removing" the hard drives. Donna had to order new computers, etc. Ironically, she never prosecuted Weiford for what undoubtedly would be considered theft of public property under the circumstances. Now we see here being indicted for a similar situation, the Walt Weiford was not even prosecuted. I suspect that Donna regrets this now!
Donna was not a part of the good ole boys. It all started when she set the hounds of hell loose on Totten which ended up in a federal investigation. This broke the blue code of silence which all law enforcement personnel are expected to enforce.
Take a look at this list of things and see just how "silly" this whole thing was when you realize that entire hard drives were taken by the former prosecutor. Donna was indicted for taking "drug charts" off the wall, even as little as a $17.50 poster. Eugene Simmons charged me with "stealing" a public document valued at $1.00. The charges were later dismissed by Magistrate Carrie Wilfong (and with prejudice) Eugene Simmons will go to any length to take down his enemies. He wants to reduce them to the same level as he is.

looks like one of the "two or three things to present to the grand jury" was putting price's head on a platter and serving it up to the county.
remember, the court files that PRICE'S CASE IS THE VERY FIRST FELONY OF 2014.
they had a special interest in making it the first felony case of the year.......and placing it in the first pole position to be heard by the april grand jury.
With honest gene and Blow hole Bob at the helm we might get a show like Jensen had.

2. That in or about January of 2009 Donna Meadows Price assumed the office of
Prosecuting Attorney of Pocahontas County, West Virginia. What followed in the next
four (4) years was a tragedy as the said Donna Meadows Price was, and is, simply stated,
incompetent;
9. In January of 2013, Eugene M. Simmons entered upon the Office of Prosecuting
Attorney of Pocahontas County, West Virginia and immediately commenced to review
the tortured history of the criminal justice system in Pocahontas County over the tenure
of Donna Price;
10. What Mr. Simmons and his Assistant Bob Martin found was distressing at best and more
akin to a tragedy. The ineptitude and incompetence of Donna Price was seen in just
about every single file in the office. Firstly, the computer system in the Prosecutor's
Office (for which there was a data storage contract) was swept clean of all file materials
of all files maintained by the Prosecutor's Office prior to December 31, 2012. The only
manner in which the newly elected Prosecutor and his Assistant could ascertain the
status or history of any file was by reference to the paper files. Unfortunately, here
again, those files were in total disarray;
11. The elected Prosecutor and his Assistant however were able to discern that Donna Price
simply did not know how to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Prosecuting
Attorney. During her tenure, the records disclose that there were only three (3) jury
trials conducted before the Circuit Court in the four (4) years of Donna Price's tenure.
The records disclose that literally hundreds of felonies and serious misdemeanor cases
were simply dismissed outright and voluntarily by the Prosecutor or as a result of
inaction and the languishing of such cases upon the docket of the Courts of Pocahontas
County. In those cases where there had been some attempt at prosecution there was a
systematic practice by Donna Price of plea bargaining multiple felonies to single felony
pleas; misdemeanor pleas for single felony or two (2) felony cases; the overextended
use of diversion agreements; and, a general failure to make presentments of felonies to
a Grand Jury;
12. When cases were presented to a Grand Jury by Donna Price each and every count of
each and every Indictment were facially defective, legally defective, replete with typing
and grammatical errors, or contained interlineations and even misstated the
Defendant's name in the body of the Indictment. Donna Price failed to attend to the
most rudimentary task of the Prosecutor's Office and systematically failed to prepare
Orders with regard to motions, sentencing, dispositions, etc. for presentation and entry
by the Circuit Judges;

plus, a FELONY looks a whole hell of a lot worse on a persons permanent record as opposed to multiple misdemeanors.
good luck finding employment after losing your law license and having a FELONY on your record!

I believe that Donna did get in over her head when she had the position of Prosecutor because the Good Ole boy system was and looks like it still is so deep in this county. However, I have not heard anyone say anything about her pit bull secretary. Her secretary would block you from going into see Donna, very unfriendly and seemed unwilling to help. if you have a prosecutor that is incompetent and a secretary who didn't seem to know how to do the job in the proper way then you are going to have chaos. I know Donna still has the same secretary and I also know that myself and others will not even try to get in touch with Donna because of having to try to go through the Pitt Bull. A secretary can make you or break you and in my opinion her secretary broke her. I believe Donna to be a good person and a honest person. She had an uphill battle from the time she was elected, the good old boys went after her and continue to do so. I wonder who she really ticked off that want her this bad.

ReplyDeletein documents presented to the wv bar odc, her counsel stated that her family currently does not own but rents a house, owes over $10K in school loans, and owes over $50K to the triplett law firm for defending against the complaints to the wv bar odc.
she's now gonna have to hire legal counsel to represent her against the felony charges which aint gonna be cheap.
then, she's gonna have to have legal counsel again to represent her in a new case with the wv bar to respond to the felony indictment in attempts to fight sanctions and keep her law license.

Denney William Bostic is accused of embezzling an unspecified amount of funds “placed under his care or management by virtue of his office,” according to an indictment. He is charged with making personal use of a credit card issued to him as chief public defender between March 5, 2010, and Aug. 5, 2011.
Although the exact amount of funds Bostic allegedly embezzled is not set forth in the indictment, the document does note it is in excess of $1,000, making the charge a felony.
Bostic voluntarily surrendered his West Virginia law license in October 2011 after leaving the Public Defender’s office. As the supporting affidavit for his disbarment remains under seal, it is not clear if the embezzlement alleged in Tuesday’s indictment figured into Bostic’s consent to relinquish his law license.

however, it appears that he is still an attorney in greenbrier county........so he must have somehow escaped the felony.
this seems odd in that the wvrecord.com article reported that he was not able to reapply for admission to the wv bar until 2016.
ironically, it appears that he now works for the head of the firm that represented him for the felony charges.
this is odd in that he asked the court to appoint him counsel (i.e. he had no money to hire counsel) and the judge appointed e. lavoyd morgan to represent him.
even more bizarre, totten's wife works as a paralegal for the same law firm.

Just before I woke from a deep asleep a image came to my mind of Bob walking down the street in January in the middle of a snow storm wearing a silver suit that cost him 1000.00
He's got on a cheap pair of rubber boots and one of those little red and white stripped hats with a red ball on the end of it that hangs down past his long grey pony tail.

About that time a mysterious blonde woman walks by with a poodle and it lifts it leg and pees all over Sideshows leg as he's trying to hand some teens his NORMAL .pamphlet.
He looks down and sees the yellow liquid running down the leg of his 1000.00 suit onto his cheap boots and explains dam it I spilled ma beer on me leg again.
Hey it was my dream.
As for Donna I think she is screwed , but you never know as Sideshow is reputed to have helped run a muck with those 47 air tight drug cases that got threw out of court, but that could of been because the main Deputy had recently been charged with 66 sex felony's. Or because one of the biggest low life's in the state maybe the nation
was the main informant .
Maybe Donna should buy a poodle.
