Look at what change has brought: (and keep in mind Norman was behind a lot of this change) Donna Price (disciplinary charges and criminal charges) and Sheriff Jonese (do I need to really say?). Can you really imagine if Norman was on the Commission how "change" would occur each meeting depending on how the wind was blowing? fleming tried to pull a fast one and he got caught at it ,plain and simple.......his loyality to the greenbrier economic development corp. was greater than that which he owed the people of greenbank ........ i might add that he served on this board........ his mistake was that he did not think anyone would notice....... so know ,he does not like being called out on it .......... i don`t think mr.byrd needs a refresher course on civics 101 by fleming,sounds to me like the ad fleming is running is the cry of a loser .......... anyone can look at a site plan for a storage facility for a half a million gallons of raw human sewerage in open pits,and know that this is a bad idea ,for the middle of greenbank ........if a person can not see this point,well then they have no business being a county commissioner ..........if they can not see what damage this plan would do to the environment and welfare of the town ,that person has no business being in public office ......... notice too fleming`s, complete silence about meck installing old tanks not twenty feet from deer creek to hold snow shoe sewerage,not even a peep !!!!! anyone with any sense can see that this is not good or safe ........not a person for such a responsible job as county commissioner .......... it takes more than going to a lions club pancake dinner every six years,to be good at that job ........ listening to the people should have been his first duty,he failed at that so lets vote him out ...........mr. byrd isn`t running ,for elective office ........he is putting that ad in the paper as a way of expressing his first amendment rights as a citizen of this county ........so tony byrd tied a can to commissioner flemings ass and the poor boy don`t like it ....well i say tough,just plain tough ........
Real classy title to this blog entry. I lost respect for you and your crusades when you began to resort to the crude and ribald language that you accused your opponents of using. Disappointing to read and I am by no means a Fleming fan. Was hoping for a primary that did not involve the name calling and crude remarks, but it is not going to happen. Unfortunate that Mrs. Heinemann has aligned herself with a bitter, vengeful, and narcissistic political partner. In this season of forgiveness, drop your bitterness and your penchant for spite and live the way Christ wanted us to live.
poor boy he got caught in a plan to give nine acres of county owned land to meck so he could build a 500,000 gallon open pit storage facility right in the middle of greenbank........really if fleming does not know that this plan is a mistake ,he is not what we need for county commissioner ...one term is enough for this boy .........what troubles me is that ,if fleming where successful ,he would then vote for this 9 acres of land that meck wants .........he would give it over,and more if he needs it ........does anybody believe that snow shoe will ever build a twenty million dollar sewage plant ??????? that county owned land is an answer to snowshoe`s problems.........meck goes up to snowshoe pumps holding tanks,and then carries it down the mountain,puts it in open pits until it can disposed of in god knows what manner .........someone should tell the commissioner that it takes a little more than putting in a cameo appearance at the lion`s club pancake dinner.so if mr.byrd puts an ad stating why he thinks fleming should not be voted back into his office ........mr. byrd also doesn`t need a lesson in american civics,it is his first amendment right to free speech .........what really bothers fleming is that tony tied a can to his ass ,and he cannot shake it off ....... we need someone in that office that has the sense to see that mecks plan does not fit in the middle of greebank

Jesus MOCKED the Scribes, Pharishees & Saducees ---THAT'S WHAT JESUS DID! Every time they tried to trick Jesus into one of their scams -- JESUS CALLED THEM 'VIPERS' among other things -- and Jesus called the crowd together so that the crowd could hear Jesus MOCK the hypocrits! What does this bufoon think a 'campaign' is for? Just a beauty contest? Just for milk & cookies? Political campaigns are SUPPOSED to expose the corruption, treachery & thievery of those in public-office -- SO THE PEOPLE WON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE! The first time Fleming ran it was against Carpenter -- a DRUNK -- who gave away the land to GVEDC & then to Meck IN SECRET -- but Carpenter PLACED THE LIABILITY UPON THE BACKS OF ALL OF US! Go to courthouse & read the '99 year Lease Agreement' in the Commission records! And what has Fleming done any different? Nothing, we got rid of a treacherous drunk -- only to replace Carpenter with a 'SNAKE IN THE GRASS' -- who bore FALSE WITNESS against Norman Alderman when Norman TOLD THE TRUTH about Fleming moving FROM the Northern District TO move in with Tommy Shipley in the Central District!!! Under the law THAT'S an automatic disqualification -- but it was Norman who was betrayed by 'THE LAW' -- not the lying Fleming -- who still lives out of his district...in 'secret' of course!
