The Bryant/Litsey Excision--Part I

Two property owners didn't want to be a part of the RAD.  David Litsey was vocally against it.  But comes the last night of the meeting, he is strangely silent and meek as a lamb.  Why?  Well he and Charlie Bryant had worked a deal out with Frank De Berry which would exclude them from the RAD.  Charlie claimed that his deeds prohibited the RAD and that it would interfere with his previous land contracts.  I really don't know what changed Litsey's mind about why it was such a bad deal for the land owners.  But at that meeting he had no strong objection to the RAD.

He and Charlie Bryant,  prominent land holders,  were marked out of the boundaries of the RAD.  Matt Tate waw concerned about changing the boundaries at all at the last minute. (A map of the boundaries was req. to be circulated with the petition)  It appeared that the CC was prepared to honor Litsey's and Bryants request for exemption.  But then County Commission Candidate Charlie Wilfong spoke up an question why the CC should approve the petition when there were still lots of questions unanswered.

So we went to the courthouse today and looked up some deeds.  We are publishing these so that our readers can discover for themselves where those "deed restrictions" are.  Please help us!

  1. First Charlie spoke out and I am glad he did as there are indeed questions that need answered.
I will be honest about one person who is all for this on the CC.
We have not been able to even verify where Fleming lives, and I mean where he really lives not where he claims.
Hard to trust a man who is playing hide and seek.
I am no legal beagle but I do not see a exception on the deed.
And if there is not them clearly there is somebody about to play hide the sausage with the residents and our tax base for their reasons that benefit them not the public.
I know Charles and he know what he is doing and is a honest man.
He will hopefully get to the bottom of this.
I myself go way back at the shoe and know full well what the mind set is of those in charge .
I have see one man tell a contractor he did not need to pay locals so much as they are dumb and would work for less , these words came out of a CEO mouth.
Everyone should think about that real hard.

    1. why wait until jan.2015 to get rid of that load fleming ..........if he can not satisfy people as to his place of residence then he should get out now and he should be arrested for lying on his statements that put his name on the ballot .........you think he would accept the will of the people who voted his ass out, and sit there with his mouth shut and not vote on these things .........he has no dogs in any of these fights ........... unless as so many think that he is using these last months in office ,to get a new job ,and throwing the citizens under the bus .................lets file a legal action to have him investigated for lying .....nothing personal ,but why should he be able to hide ??????????

    2. The whole idea of having certain dead restrictions contained in Litsey and Bryants land were brought before to the county commission at public meetings. All of those times the commission and Snowshoe asserted that Litsey was incorrect and his land could be part of the RAD. Then the day of the vote Snowshoe agrees that the land does not belong in the RAD. This raises a flag - 1 why disagree at first then all of a sudden have a change of heart - What is the real reason. 2. Remember with Litsy and Bryants land out of the RAD that would mean the total unique owners would change and therefore the 25% vote by the homeowners is reduced - So instead of being 11 short the real vote without Litsy's land is more lake 35 short.

    3. Next big disagreement will be County Commission Votes AGAIN on something that was recently voted down. So if you want something done - Bent the ear of a commissioner and get it on the Agenda until you get it passed.
