How could it slip by that the county has re-hired the beautiful Bob Martin?? 	While I agree with you on today's system , one has to consider that fewer and fewer parents get involved. Also common core is nothing but a money making program. More and more of today's teachers are taking job for the wrong reasons also and often school boards are overseen by morons. More Rumors

The Staff of the Commentator has ears in a lot of places.  There is usually a second side to the story.  911 is a very secretive organization so take the following with a grain of salt.  Do your own investigative work.  It is your county!!  So here goes.......

Shawn Dunbrack wasn't actually fired; he resigned.

The County Commission is the one who initiated the investigation of 911, not per a report or complaint by a single person.

The 911 director has his own Netflix account.

911 persons have been known to sleep on the job.

One employee has turned 911 into a craft production workshop.

Director was doing two jobs at the same time:  driving the ambulance and getting paid as 911 director.

The most egregious claim is that there was some sexual harassment going on in 911.  ( a little butt feeling and fondling.)  When this was reported by the victim to the director,  she would be reassigned but nothing was done about the harasser which was supposed to have been one of the deputies.

The county commission already knows who they are going to hire to replace Shawn.

It could be concluded from the above that there was a serious failure to report.  Now days anyone who is aware of sexual harassment is required to report it.  Even county commissioners could be sued personally.

Not in Pocahontas

We are amused when school finances fall into jeopardy statewide because we know that Pocahontas County is a protected county.  Our school system gets dollars for 1400 students even if they only enroll 1200.  Pocahontas is guaranteed dollars for those students.
