No New Answers on Turn Farm II
Checked at the courthouse and it is unknown as to what they plan is for a couple of people to acquire a lease
on the property at Greenbank. All we know is that in the past very, very good deals can be had by persons with interest in govenment property. That is the reason that Meck has erected as many as seven businesses on the tax free county property and has proposed the building of an additional six sewage holding ponds. He has a 99 year lease in which his payments can be applied to the purchase of the property.
Currently, the Greenbrier County Economic Development Authority collects $8,000 per month from Howe's Leather for the property which was given to the county. Not a penny comes back to the county!!
Even Meck's payments go straight to the GVEDC and not the county. When local entities wanted to acquire the Edray Industrial site, they were informed that they would have to "pay" for it. SO MUCH FOR GOOD WILL!!
