Is It Really the Case of What's Fair for the Goose is Fair for the Gander?????

What do you think?  Glen Wade was given ten to twenty years for having sex with a student.  He is a male.  But a female defendant is being given an opportunity to dodge that harsh prospect.  The court appears to be willing to make a deal with a female defendant that was not given to a male defendant.

So maybe "What's fair for the goose is really fair for the gander!"
